Are you seeking employment for your own purposes? Need to get out of the house? Need adult interactions? Need for change in daily routines?
Or are you seeking employment because you truly do need the extra income? If that is the case, you may need to 'shop around' for a different daycare that might offer you less tuition. You might also wish to negotiate the hourly wage if possible. Whatever small income you do make will come in handy obviously.
For school holidays, perhaps there is another SAHM neighbor you can entrust your child with like a playdate.
Make a list of pros & cons, discuss this with your hubby/significant other, and try to make an informed decision.

The question is. Would you take the job? Like you said, you will only be makeing 7 to $8 an hour and only be bringing home $100 after you pay everything. Is this extra $100 a week needed, or is it something that you are interested in. Most people that work at a pharmacy is usally single young people. But it just goes to, Would you take the job?

I work 3 nights a week at a restaurant and bring home between $120 to $200 a week, depending on how much business we do. It doesn't sound like much, but it pays for our groceries and gas every week. We would have a very hard time paying for these things with just my husband's paycheck. SO -- I would take the job if the money was absolutely necessary. Otherwise, why pay someone to be with your kids when you can be with them yourself. I could be working full-time as a teacher and making the same amount of money as my husband. But I would rather be at home with my child for the majority of my time and sacrifice some expenses to do so.

I sounds to me like you don't want to take the job and be away from your children. I guess what it comes down to is, are you desperately in need of an extra 100 dollars a week. If the answer is no, than don't take the job. If the answer is yes, you could probably bring home more money with a waitress or bartending job with a lot more flexibility.
Good Luck

I would so no....the amount of daycare these days is not worth you only working part time...you wouldn't even have much of a paycheck left after paying the daycare!! Unless the $100 you would make would make a big difference to you!! I'd say stay at home with the kids if you can financially afford it!!

the question is do you need that $100 to make it every month. If so then yes take the job. If you are going to be happy working for that much every month, then take the job. If you are going to be upset that you are working for so much for so little then don't take the job.
Good luck to you.

Take the job and see how you like it. If after a month or so, it really isn't working out the way you want, then quit. It doesn't hurt to try something new.
