My cats about 3 years old.. he's an independent active kitty tabby who plays outside a lot. The weather now is kinda rainy. My cat looks pale and his nose is pale. Paws are yellowish, lips are yellowish but he's active as usual. What can i do to make him better throughout the nite (no vets opened now).Im worried for him. Anyone can suggest home remedies for my kitty so that his nose and lips would look pink again?

Help!!

Wow, that sounds liver related, and I honestly would not wait a day to get it taken care of. I don't know of any home remedies -- be sure he is eating and drinking. And get him treated ASAP, even if you have to go to the ER, liver failure is quick, but can be cured if a cat is treated immediately.

I believe a yellowish coloring denotes a liver problem. You can't
home remedy" something like that. Just get him in to the vet for evaluation as soon as possible.

If a liver problem is the diagnosis Milk Thistle is an excellent herb that nourishes and supports the liver. You can get that at a health food store.

If you cannot afford the surgery then having him put down is the only kind thing - without treatment he will die a long a painful death. It's good you are exploring other options such as the humane society who may be able to do things cheaper. If you truly cannot afford to feed yourselves then I would suggest you not take on animals you cannot support, vets are expensive but they charge what they need to especially humane societies.

If you have some regular tuna (human) open some of that and see if he will eat some of that. Chicken is good for him too. But bake or steam it. Whatever you do, DO NOT give him anything FRIED in grease! IF he doesn't eat, is vomiting, diarrhea, PLEASE get him to a VET ASAP. The yellow color could be one of two things, his liver isn't working or he has been poisoned. I don't think it is worms. If it was hook worms, his mouth would be a pasty white. This is Monday, no Vets opened???? Go somewhere were there is an opened Vet!! Time is of essence!!!

Has your cat been eating???? This is an emergency Yellow lips/skin/ gums are an indication of hepatic lipidosis which is a sign of liver disease. You need to find an emergency vet asap. If treated right away, it can be totally reversed. If not, it could be fatal

Yellow skin is a sign of liver disease/failure and he really needs to see a vet today. It's Monday so most vets are open, if not then your local emergency vet is open.

Aww!

Well, I can't make any suggestions right now, except to make your kitty comfortable inside and watch him. And if he appears to be in distress, call an emergency vet.

Good luck!
