They believe in Jesus, and worship him as their savior. While it is true that they have other beliefs that you might not share with them, isn't that the main criteria?

A few reasons I have seen in the past is:

* It is true that some books in the Bible say that nothing can be added or removed.. It is also true that after such a statement was written in one of the books that more books were added.
* They don't think Jesus is God, they believe in Jesus God and the Holy spirit as separate personages united in purpose though.
* As far as I know, Jesus never specifically states he is God. There are many people who interpret that he said so, but the Unitarians offer a good debate on that.

So, if they believe that Jesus is their savior, why would they be bound for an eternity in Hell?

I agree with your point about the statement that "nothing can be added or removed" is almost always taken out of context.

Jesus said no one can see (come to) the father without him. So if you believe in God,(in this case the father), you must also believe that Jesus is the son of God. What is meant by adding to the bible is this; adding to his message of redemption through Jesus. For example if someone said, you MUST do this or you MUST do that, like to be saved you must swim 3 laps or you aren't going to heaven ;That would be adding to the message of Jesus died for you, it should be you on that cross not the son of God.He took your place so you can be redeemed. Some people don't even believe Roman Catholics are going to heaven with the way they worship.

Remember the bible sent God will choose the churches out of the churches so to me it doesn't matter which church you attend, and i can strongly say that the book of Mormon which they use is indeed a book of inspiration it's teaching especially the in the Doctrine Covenant helps out in life moral values and Health wise. Some of it's teaching might seems weired but if you reading with the spirit of of the lord then everything come to pass good is good and i do believe that son father and the holy ghost or individuals spirit but they work together pray about ask god to be guide in your path listen not what say about . not every one his willing to accept a man for his believe . Great question. Loaded question.

I've studied why people call certain religions, cults.
Looks like you have done some research, yourself.

The way you word your question... Mormons have as good of a chance at being bound for hell, as any one of us, as sinners.

Test the spirits. Test what seems like the true Jesus, against the Written Word of God. For God's Holy Word is the truth. Lucifer can disguise himself as Jesus.

Read the Bible. Test what you have heard. Know that Jesus is the Son of God. The Word of God.

God bless you this day. Amen.

Hi Everyone.

I am actually a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints, or known as a Mormon. We are Christians, we believe God the Eternal Father, and in his Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

We call God Heavenly Father because He is the Father of our spirits and we are created in His image.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Under the direction of your Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth (John 1:10; Hebrews 1:1–2). Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ overcame death for you. Everyone, the righteous and wicked alike, will receive the gift of resurrection. Through the Atonement—performed by Jesus Christ with His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by His suffering and the voluntary surrender of His life on the cross–He saves us from our sins as we sincerely repent and follow Him. ( 1 Peter 2:21) .

The first principles and ordinances of the gospel are:
- First, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Second, repentance.
- Third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins.
- Fourth, laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If you have more questions about our basic beliefs please go to www.lds.org or www.mormon.org to find more answers to your questions.

If they do go to Hell, and I'm not saying they will,it is because this person THEY call Jesus ,isn't the one of the Bible.
Their Jesus was born of fornication of a god and a woman,a betrothed woman, that's adultery. This god that did that was a man who ascended to godhood."As man is ,God once was.As God is ,man can be".That is the Mormon thinking and it is blasphemous.
So this god has Jesus special.Meanwhile ,before this ,this god has been creating souls with his god-wife.These souls later take on human bodies, totally non Biblical. Jesus ,they say was the brother of Lucifer. After Adam fell Lucifer wanted to force man back into the fold whereas Jesus wanted to die for them. There was war in heaven over this (completely un Biblical) All these souls that stayed neutral were then turned into Black people when they took an earthly body. Then Jesus came but did not shed his blood on the cross but in the garden when he sweated great drops of blood (Luke).Hence they disdain the cross like Dracula does.
This is not the Christian's Jesus.
Paul says "if we or anyone, even an Angel brings a different gospel, let him be accursed" Galatians 1.
Angel's (in disguise) brought different gospels to not only Mohammed but to Joseph Smith as well.Am I lying??????Am I wrong?? I don't think so.

John 10:30; "I and my Father are one".
John 10:27, "My sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life;..."
It is not for us to say it they are wrong or not. I believe many will enter into heaven that others on earth claimed were sinners. We well know as a Christian, that not all of us will enter either. Jesus does give guidelines to enter which are clearly stated in the NT. It's up to each of us to follow them and know we have eternal life.

Look,
im a chrisitan- pentecostal.
they will not go to heaven because first of all you have to be baptized in the name of Jesus just like the bible says in the Book of Acts, and you have to have the Holy Ghost. There is only one God and that is Jesus

That comment you just said about adding and removing from the Bible means that you cannot put things or rearrange things or words in the bible to make people believe things that are not in the Bible.

They believe that God is three people in heaven as different individuals and that is NOT true. I heard they believe in this man also... how many gods do they have again?
Repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus

you're sturdy to be honest, concept isn't admitting a certainty even the demons acknoweledge Jesus became as quickly as the Christ. His artwork is existence remodeling and your existence keeps to be untransformed. Loving God isnt something you're able to do till you acquire His love first You seem to have the technique backwards by way of seeking to love God first. make an effort and examine by the gospel of John. Slowly study the claims Jesus makes. Then see how they have an consequence on you; my relationship with God was extra on a same line for years yet i became as quickly as much less honest with myself; then quicker or later i became as quickly as broken, the superb longing in my existence was to be enjoyed and as quickly as I cried out to Jesus to take my existence i as converted and my existence has been crammed with love wish braveness and self concept. i do no longer ignore Joel the placement god says he's going to make up for the years that the locust had eaten away..And He has...God bless you...

I have carefully and prayerfully studied my faith and religion. I believe I have made the correct choice. I look to Jesus Christ for my redemption and salvation. I will let him be my advocate with the Father at my day of judgement.
