how do i exit imvu client so i can uninstall imvu download?

i need help with this

When you download and open IMVU, it not only loads on screen but it also opens a quik launch button. So to uninstall IMVU ... You close the program and then find the little icon at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Right click on the icon and press exit. Then when that closes try to uninstall the program again. It will let you as long as the icon is gone...
