All societies are based on rules to protect pregnant women and young children. All else is surplus age, excrescence, adornment, luxury or folly which can--and must--be dumped in emergency to preserve this prime function. As racial survival is the only universal morality, no other basic is possible. Attempts to formulate a “perfect society” on any foundation other than “women and children first!” is not only witless, it is automatically genocidal. Nevertheless, starry-eyed idealists have tried endlessly--and no doubt will keep on trying.

I’m not sure there can be such a thing as a moral society. Morality must come from the individual and be expressed in each individual decision. A society can pass laws and encourage certain behaviors, but it is still up to the individual.
Every parent should think about the kind of world they want to leave to their children and then help to define that world by the choices they make in their own home. You can’t say I want my children to grow up in a moral society, and in the next moment spend money on moves, books and other forms of entertainment that mock the values you wish to instill.
You can’t say I care about my child’s education and in the next moment permit you child unsupervised access to the Internet. Education consists of everything the child sees and hears and experiences.
The world our children inherit will come from the collective individual decisions each of us make. It is in our hands, parents.

It depends on your definition of moral. Too many people & societies have mixed up moral to mean religious, or more specifically, christian, and believe that anyone who isn't christian or religious is immoral. The problem with this as pertaining to our "children" is that we teach them these same things, which breeds intollerance.
