Faith is useful for your eternal life if you believe in a higher being. Faith could also be considered a trust factor. In many ways its a personal issue to believe in or not to. Hope I helped.

It's one of the most important things in life.

In fact, it's among the only things we can depend on in life:

"Faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love!"

and

"Love surpasses knowledge."

Faith is God can be compared to faith in a best
friend, knowing and believing in that friends
character and trust-worthiness.

That is what it is all about - promises of someone true,
and not of something uncertain (i.e. ourselves, others,
even science)!

It helps keep the person hopeful about the future, and the person would tolerate and would be able to overcome any obstacle in his path with God's will. With faith, anything is possible.

It helps you not to fear anything in life. This is one of the things taught about faith at the source below.

Without faith, we live in fear. We can't even believe a chair will hold us up without faith. We either believe God or we believe man. We have faith in God or we have faith in man.

I don't know about you, but man has let me down many times.
God has never let me down.

Faith (or to some, "wish thinking") is useful to make you feel better when you haven't got a hope in hell.

I guess if you're dying and you have faith that you'll live it makes you hold on that little bit longer.

Perhaps until your family can say goodbye.
