Word of mouth. Get some referrals. Hire a sales person and pay them on commission. Make a sale and give them a percentage (10-15%).

Create some brochures and flyers. Attend a tradeshow. Get your name and product out there. If its as good as you say - people will come looking for you.

Contact an a/v magazine and get something published. You can even send your product to have it tested by them. The exposure you'll get will be tremendous - just make sure you have the infrastructure to handle the volume.

Did you design it yourself or do you use someone else's kit?
(You mention you did a DiY project).

If it someone else's design, you can't market it as your own, but you can still offer the company that sells the parts and the design to list you as someone who could provide a finished product at a very reasonable price. Call or write the company that sells the kits and see what are your options. I am sure they will be glad to sell more kits through you.

If it is Your own design, first try to protect it (copyright is a first step).
In either case, the web is a great medium, Try to sell it on e-bay (explain it is new) or create your own web site.
It does not cost that match to do a small text-only advertising in magazines that target hobbyist and home-theater enthusiasts.

Building a sound system is time consuming, so I do hope you charge for your labor and not just for parts.
