Fuel gauge on my Modeo (M) seems 'stuck' on the red after running dangerously low on fuel. Any suggestions and how can i check if the warning light works?

Give the guage a healthy and vigourous tap a few times.
If it remains stuck at a particular point, it needs a new guage. If it attempts to flicker to a different position, then it is the fuel tank sender. Not a cheap thing to replace, as the tank has to be drained, removed and fiddled with.
I hope therefore that it is the needle on the dash.
It is very rare to be the loom wires betwixt the two items.
The little red bulb is really just part of the guage, so it is not its' fault.
