If you cushions can be washed out, take them outside and take a hose to them. You need to get the urine out of them too. It won't help that you have just washed the covers. There is a product that you can get either at your local Vet's office or at Pet Med's that will remove the urine odor also and you can also get a product to keep your puppy off the sofa, it repels them.
Take your puppy out every hour, on the hour to use the potty too, especially after they have eaten or have been drinken water. Sometimes it is best not to allow your puppy to have water all the time until you have them potty trained. It helps with the whole training experience and when they go outside to relieve themselves, PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE them for a job well done and give them a treat! You will find they will start to want out and get into a routine. If you notice them sniffing the floor, take the puppy out fast!!
I have a 7 month old Boxer and she still has accidents. But she is doing wonderful on the most. Good Luck!

Do the cushions smell ? If you can't wash them, you might try putting some vinegar or lemon juice on them.

If covers still smell and the other methods don't work, try white vinegar or lemon juice... sometimes the acid will cut the smell.

If you are able to wash them, then you can add a cup of vinegar to the wash water.

Places like Pets Mart, have upholster shampoos made for pet odor's. You may even be able to get it a Wal Mart or a grocery store and so on. When you don't have company put it out side for a while to let it air dry.

Welcome to petownership. There is nothing that actually really works well. The pet odor sprays help and so does baking, soda, but when all is said and done nothing fixes it. Not even vinegar and water.
