My first suggestion is talk to your family physician. It could be just a "normal" part of growing up.. You don't indicate your age etc. Make sure your eating properly and getting enough rest.. Get some exercise. Walking, hiking, weight training, any sports would be good for you. Every one has mood cycles.. No such thing as being upbeat every day of the week. Many factors cause mood swings.. but I'd make sure you take care of the easy things first and if you feel it could be a medical thing, talk to your MD.. Not using any drugs? If so, that could be part of the problem too. Good luck.

You can take a free online professional test for bipolar disorder. This is exactly the same as the tests psychiatrists use. (Please see link below). Then if it looks like your mood swings are some sort of bipolar mood disorder you could go see an expert and talk things over. Please don't freak out I am not intending to insult you or suggest you are mentally ill. I am bipolar and I have learned how common mood disorders are and how often they go undiagnosed. They are actually very treatable - but you have to know what is going on.

Get thee to a doctor! There are many variations on depression that could be causing what you're feeling. Don't let an 'amateur' diagnose you! See a general doctor first, and have them refer you to a licensed psychiatrist. The psych can then better evaluate you and the two of you can discuss options such as medication and/or therapy. And, don't wait til it gets worse.
Also, don't let anyone (and I mean ANYone) try to discourage you or talk you out of getting professional help. There is no shame or stigma anymore about being on meds or in therapy!
Best wishes!

could be anxiety along with the mood swings.

perhaps you could consider talking with your doctor. you don't have to go around feeling confused or moody constantly, hon.

lots of good resources for help out there... take care of YOU

maybe anxiety. i'm not certain but i can tell you that i've experienced the same thing and all i did was change my diet and it stopped. apparently i wasn't getting enough vitamins and minerals and that can cause hormonal changes and/or mood swings.
