Yes.

God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

Jesus, the Son, is one person with two natures: Divine and Human. This is called the Hypostatic Union. The Holy Spirit is also divine in nature and is self aware, the third person of the Trinity.

There are more theories and theologies that divide mankind into so many pockets of exclusivity. But I believe in the existence of one Universal God, who is beyond the limitations of shape, name ,or other attributes. All great seers have recognised this universal God, but have for various reasons supported also the proliferation of so many other Gods. We must understand that in the early development of human society, everything that appeared more powerful than one' own self was considered a God.This is akin to to day's man seeing the local Police man as Government. Some one who knows the Police Commissioner doesn't count the Constable as Police, and those who know the Governor or the President do no count those below them as powerful enough to affect their lives. In nthe same way, those who have realized the interconnection between cause and effect and the law of Karma have no choice but to recognize the existence of the universal God!

Were I to ask u back, "Do you believe there is only one Anil M?"? What would u say? Yes or No ?
If you, and in fact all, think in depth, the name is only an identity of the body (including the face) we possess which itself changes constantly without our being aware of it. If you see your photo when you were just 5, compare it with the photo taken at 15, again at 25, again at 35, you find they are all quite different. But still you call them Anil M. When the body changes, something in you does not change. That is constant. And that is anil M.
so, likewise, even when God is construed and interpreted by different people differently, depending upon their own perceptions, and belief systems, the sublime Divinity in everyone's perception is the same. Everyone believes in a Power which directs us all, which guides us all. There is congruence in this aspect.
But what form we give to Him, what name we give Him, what attributes we give Him, what methodologies we have framed to reach Him, to pray to Him, etc., we differ. And this is inevitable. And we human beings will continue to differ since basically our perceptions are relative and subjective.
So one may conclude that all of us believe in God, Who has to be One only, if He is to be God.
Thanks a lot for asking this question.

i do not believe in the universality of god. just think this way, god created not only the earth but also the universe which extends infinitely. this is impossible for a single power. secondly wouldn't one guy supposedly sitting out there feel bored . surely god must have a friend or at least a wife.
even the scriptures second my opinion. like in the holy gita or the holy quaran or the holy bible, it is well evident that god is not reaaly alone. take jesus for instance who was supposedly the god's son. how do u imagine a son without the wife?

however in the religious sense i do believe that jesus, rama, mohammad are all diff names given to the same person. in the earlier era people gave these names to various people who were hte supposed gods to explain the phenomena which could not be easily explained like lightening, rain etc. there were various people and hence various names however that doesn't mean that we have many gods.

Do you believe there is only one God?
Everybody answered this well. Only 1 God? "It Depends On Your Thinking and Attitude"

I do know nobody is dump, smart, genius, or perfect. Everybody is same, equal human beings. Everybody have right to be ‘Happy’. Does everybody like same thing? Same color, same ice cream or same fashion? NO. It all comes down to an individual person thinking ability and how the person views the world. Everybody is unique and have their own values, morals, beliefs, assumptions and expectations. Therefore, my view would be different to yours. I respect yours and others. The question should be (1) "Do you believe in God?" Or (2) "Do you think God exists?" Or (3) "Where is God?" (4) Why we cannot see God if he exists? ... so on.

No, I do not believe there is ONLY one god. God is Everywhere and yet we have to find him. Follow great people like M.K. Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama. I hope you read all answers :)
