It depends, but probably not. Why not lose 5 real pounds in 2 weeks and keep them off?

not in real weight. 1 pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories.

you can , however, remove dairy and carbs for those 5 days and take a diuretic which would help you lose a couple pounds of water weight - this is a short-term quick-fix if you want to look good for a piture or evening event.

again, this is just short term for a couple days ... this will dehydrate you and should not be maintained.

maybe after whatever is coming up you can cut a few calories and pick up walking after dinner so you aren't in a pinch again?

Yes, diuretics can help you lose 5 lbs of water weight in 5 days easily. Don't do it though. No one can notice 5 lbs lost anyway.
