In most cases a person practices the religion he needs, which serves his purposes for that lifetime, for one reason or another.

Yes and no.

When I was catholic, I considered that religion to have more of the truth than the other religions did -- but that they all had *some* of the truth, and *none* of them had more than a tiny fraction of the whole truth.

These days, I believe in God, but have no religion. But I'm happy to look for any truth that I can find in any of them.

All religions at their root were true religions. Over time they have been corrupted along with their texts save for one: The Quran of Islam (the Recitation (because it is recited) of peace through submission to Allah (God alone)).

Sure, people can say I follow a false religion but that does not make it true. Allah tells us in the Quran the truth behind all this and about other religions and how they have changed. He says that only the Quran will be saved and remain complete. Through studying other religions and belief systems this fact is proven.

I don't believe this question is about if the religion "works" for one or not. We can't know because the point of this life is to serve and worship Allah swt and prepare for the life to come with our good works. We won't know if our religion "worked" for us until we see the outcome in the next life.

The Bible is the info of Christianity. community individuals weren't presented to the bible till 1800's. there have been societies, kit holders, countless products to hold your prolonged kinfolk and ideology mutually. No Bible to back that way of existence. Catholics and Mormons got here and created their own "handbook" for their faith. you additionally can "religiously" brush your tooth each morning. the way, the fact and the mild. The Lord.

I tend to think that they're all partly true, and that mine is more true than the others. I don't think any human formulation can really capture God, but I do think God has presented us with one, Christianity, that comes closer than the others.

Similarly, I tend to think democracy is the best system of long-term governing that humans have managed so far. The fact that others might disagree, and that I just happen to be living in one (or, I -was-, but don't get me on politics), doesn't mean I have to think they're all equally right or wrong.

I can only echo those above me. All religions are false. I did apply this reasoning to my own and ultimately abandoned it.

I believe all religions are false.

I did apply the same reasoning to the religion I practiced.

Then I became an atheist.
