Being irritated or angry seems to be telling me something I can't see around. Can't see the forest for the trees...

Perspective... Seems that when I have a bad day, I notice a crippled or retarded person that soon crosses my path. Then I feel that my problems are minor in comparison, and I feel that I have a lot to be thankful for that I take for granted. I've had to go to the hospital lately and visit a sick friend, and this gives me even more perspective. Watching old people being carted around in wheelchairs, and people moaning in hospital beds makes me realize how fortunate I am. I go to the nursing home to visit my Grandmother and become overcome with emotion watching all the people--like you and me-- living out their last days, with some just wasting away.

I get magazines from the Missions also, and read about many people in Third world nations just barely scraping by and living from day to day. It's all about perspective. When you become aware of the less fortunate, it's time to be thankful and count your blessings. Seems you never realize how good you got it until your health fails you or you become financially strapped. Keep proper perspective, be focused, and be thankful for the good things you have.

Look at yourself in the mirror, don't you look so much prettier when you are smiling and happy as opposed to when you are in a pissy mood? Other people see the same thing, so excuse yourself for a few minutes if you feel yourself getting angry or irritated, go to the bathroom and take a deep breath to collect yourself or have a good cry if you need to , then make yourself smile and get back to business !
