What your family is trying to tell you is not to base your entire life on as fragile a dream as acting. That's because of the hundreds of thousands of hopefuls only a tiny fraction will actually get parts that pay enough for you to earn a living. You're much better off going into a field that will ultimately support you financially.

Too bad they can't convey that message in a more positive way.

Here's what you can do however -

Hit the books and make the very best grades you can. Oh, and yeah. Learn how to use spell-check.

Learn a trade/skill that will support you. The health care fields are crying for radiologists, therapists, technicians, nurses, etc. The pay is better than average so you won't starve by a long shot.

While you're still in school, join the drama club; the glee club; sing in your church choir; even join the debate team. The experience of being on stage (or behind the podium) will help you learn how to handle audiences etc.

After you're financially settled, then you can persue your career in acting/singing for real.

And all this every night I just cry business - put that aside. All that shows is that you're a spoiled brat drama queen. Believe me there is absolutely no room for drama queens and spoiled brats in the theater. What you need to develop is a thick hide - instead of a sensitive skin. Trust me. Every singer gets panned. Every Actor gets passed over for a part.

There are loads of different spells that work for becoming a mermaid, here is the one I know best: 1) Get a Pisces flower. This is a special kind of flower, with seven almond shaped petals that are sea-green. You should be able to find it under water, about a quarter of a mile from shore. When you have it, smash it into pulp and mix that pulp with fresh sea water. Leave out in the full moon's shine overnight. 2) Eat that mixture, and close your eyes. DO NOT OPEN THEM. 3) Walk to the sea, still with your eyes closed. On the way, repeat this mermaid chant: Iv A Von, Sartis, Menamon, Sartis. Iv A Von, Menamon, Jagsta, Kestar, Sartis. Iv A Von, Sartis, Menamon, Sartis. Iv A Von, Venamon, Casta, Mex. 4) When you feel your get touching the sea water, keep on going until you are completely submerged. Open your eyes. Whatever you do, don't resurface until your sight darkens completely. Your legs will feel numb and you will feel tired, but don't worry, this is the process of becoming a mermaid. When you wake up, well. You'll see. ;)

To learn how to sing the best thing is always following a good course, I suggest an online course because it's much cheaper and you can get great results. I suggest this course: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=541

Hoowever there are several key things to do to improve your singing voice, yet some rely on upon your gender and some don't. Since I don't have a clue about your gender, I'll let you know the ones that are not gender particular. I'll give you some suggestions but I reccomend to follow the course that I posted above...I did it and I know you will apprecciate it! Learn to breathe from your diaphragm, not your lungs. - most straightforward route for a beinging voice understudy to learn this strategy is to lie level on your back and breathe without considering it. You ought to perceive that it is your stomach climbing and down, not your lungs. Congrats, you've spotted your diaphragm. Presently remained up and practice breathing through your nose and pushing the air into your stomach rather than your lungs. Practice breath/breathing strategies
When you've figured out how to breathe with your diaphragm, you have to show yourself how to work those muscles in a manner that will improve your singing vocals. This is accomplished by something many refer to as breath exercises. Fundamentally, you use five to ten minutes doing these before endeavoring to sing. Here are some to kick you off: "the pregnant woman puff" is where you utilize the labor breathing method taught in lamas' classes to work your mouth muscles. "the straw" is where you suck in all the air you can oversee and afterward gradually release it again on your own pace while switching up the variations of the breath release. For a better work out in this exercise you can really sing a few bars of a tune also. good luck!

Stay in school and get an education, keep your dreams of being a singer or an actress. One day you will be on your own and then you'll be able to make decisions concerning your career. An education should be your main priority now.

If you become good at singing or as an actress. Success
may come your way. do all you can in school in the band and
singing lessons, and get into school plays. What you learn in
school is a stepping stone for your resume for an "audition."
Agents want to see what you have done to convince them you
are well trained for the stage. With your determination, and
the help from others. you can be anything you want to be in
life. But success does not come "early" for many.
I don't know if you watch "American Idol" at all. but watch it
this year and see how many get eleminated because they
think they can achieve stardon without any training at all.
In watching it. A depressing as it may be from the start. You
will be learning from others "mistakes."
So, when asked what you have done, and show it.
"Discovery may come your way." Good luck. <}:-})

I think you should do what you love to do. Don't give in to your uncle & aunt. Just because you live with them it does not mean they can enforce their will on you. You are NOT their daughter.
Tell them, "Thank you very much, but this is what I like, and I am determined to do it!".
Good luck!

What you, ofcourse, mean is a "singer", and an "actress". Are you francophone, btw? -- i.e. from french-speaking???

Anyway, you become WHAT you WANT to be--nothing else. If you think you have talent, GO for it!! I guess they are concerned that you might not use your brain as much as another profession--but even that is untrue. These days, musicians are getting seriously educated...

good luck!!

My parents told me if I majored in psychology, they wouldn't pay for my education. I foolishly majored in what they told me to major in, and I've been confused and unhappy ever since. You must, must, must do what makes you happy, no matter what your guardians say. They do not know! Their opinions are flawed. Your teachers know. Listen to them and do what you must to live out your dream. You only get one life. Make the very most of it.

Tell your aunt to call "all your teachers" and talk to them about your singing and acting abilites. It seems pretty odd that everyone else notices how great you are, but the people you live with are totally blind to it.
