It will surely be a memorable event, but e. dad's right. It's not some kind of magical death ray that vaporizes whatever it hits, or sucks surrounding objects into a crushing vortex, or any or the other wild claims I've heard from time to time. A .50 cal. slug is just that, a cylindrical chunk of metal half an inch in diameter and about two inches long cruising along at about 3,000 feet per second. It will do serious damage to flesh and a good hit will almost certainly kill, but it ain't magic.

Everyone is lying to you. Usually nothing happens. Bullets tend to bounce off when fired from a .50 cal. In fact, I once caught a .50 Cal bullet with my bare hands.

As an American Adult, who owns, and regularly shoots .50BMG rifles. I can say that it would not be something that "Is gonna' buff right out!"

It isn't, however, as extreme as most people and/or Their "sources" will tell you.

The .50BMG cartridge, is just a 30.06 cartridge that was scaled up. Balistic-ly, they are almost the same.
Mind you, there is allot more energy that comes along with the much larger cartridge, but with the army's bullets, it would largely "pass through" the human body, without expending it's energy inside.

As would most/all modern high power rifle cartridges, with that type of bullet.

I still wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of JMB's little bundle of joy.

So, don't buy in to the "It'll Shoot down satellites!" kind of B.S. hollyweird, the mainstream media, most "Experts" pull out of their "Nether Regions".......it, like most things they like to pontificate about.....is total B.S.!

T.S.

Well, I m not very smart hen it comes to what a bullet will do but more than likely It would puncture your skin and more than likely shatter you bone on the way through and destroy any organs in its path and exit the body leaving a bigger hole where it left rather than were it entered but more than likely the power of the bullet would be spread through out the area that was hit destroying or damaging some or all organs in the area if the bullet is stuck in your body it would more than likely spread shards of it through out your body.

The body is ripped apart at the point of entry. The internal organs in the area of impact are destroyed. This is if the bullet strike center of mass.

If the bullet strike the leg or arm, I think the area will be amputated. The v-force of the bullet is very powerful on impact.

All depends upon who get hit. A person fighting for freedom, or a person killing innocent women and children through the form of terrorism.
