Hell is a real place.God has a PERFECT sense of justice. You think some pathetic "good works" gets you into heaven? If there is no hell then God is NOT good.
Have you,or your 15 year old friend, ever lie?steal?look with lust?
So,since the 15 year old does all these "good deeds",does that mean he can break the law of the land get off scott free?
"your honor,I raised over $500 every year,etc.........,Can I please get away with breaking the law?"

Hell is a place of unimaginable torture and agony for an eternity. Just think about that for one moment.
This is where some people think your friend is going to spend eternity for his lack of belief. God doesn't sound like a very nice or reasonable person if this is the punishment your friend will get. Of course, that’s not the only thing which will, according to the bible, lead to an eternity of torture.
Here in the West we generally have a proportionate, humanitarian and rehabilitative approach to punishment – ie: it befits the crime. The question should really be whether you would want to go to a heaven ruled by someone apparently more callous and brutal than the worst dictator on earth?

A person's good works isn't enough to qualify for Heaven. The Scripture says, "FAITH without works is dead." Without obedience to the plan of salvation, he will end up in Hell. As for your thought that Hell is a myth, consider the fact that there is more mentions of Hell in the Bible than there are of Heaven! If it weren't for man's sin, there'd be no need of Hell! It SHOULD invoke both fear and love! Fear of going there (Hell) and a love of God for helping you avoid it by the blood Jesus shed for you!

NO, The word was taken from the Hebrew word Sheol meaning the common grave of man kind. The place of fiery torment is a lie perpetrated by liers as a fear factor to trap people into the churches. Unfortunately the lie has worked on many and has blinded them. I would ask how can the god they serve come up with such a place if they say he is a loving god? Religion needs to be exposed as the demons they are!

Is he sick? Why are you afraid that he may die at 15? Although no one knows what tomorrow may bring. I would not tell you that your Young friend would go to Hell. I would tell him about the Love of the Lord instead.

Its the same as not studying for a test and being mad at the teacher for giving you a failing grade. You knew to study, you knew the test was coming, you knew what would happen. You chose anyway.
there are a million ways to Jesus, but 1 way to God!

Christians live a lie. They actually believe one can sin, then be forgiven again. Yet they believe that an atheist, when the time comes, is proven wrong, are sent to hell. Even though this atheist did all good things in life and never hurt anyone, if he is wrong about God, he will suffer. This is proof of a cruel God, if such a Creator exists.
Another thing about Christians... They do NOT believe in helping their fellow human beings. Living in a rural area, with small towns, many people claim to be Christians. But, when a person has a broken down car, and is 7 miles from the nearest town, and has to walk, none of these so called "Christians" refuse to offer any help, such as a ride.
And when it comes to the 10 Commandments, they actually believe that one commandment was eliminated, and there are only Nine Commandments.
After all, all have to be obeyed but one. And they point out that a Commandment can be broken, and it is not a sin. So I guess one can commit murder and it makes no difference to God nowadays

Our disposition after death has nothing to do with what we do. That's the Christian stance and the Biblical stance.
Romans 10:9 ... that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from, then you will be saved.
That's all we have to to do. Good Works counts after we're saved, but has nothing to do with salvation. Good Works will determine our gifts once we get to heaven.
Hard to understand for sure. Too simple for most folks to believe.
Please read, in this order:
1 - The Gospel of John - 4th book of the New Testament that speaks directly to who Jesus is.
2 - Acts - the next book and speaks to the formation of the early church
3 - Romans - the next book which speaks directly to salvation.
In Christ,
Dennis

Your question may have attracted more response if you had demonstrated that you had an understanding of what 'hell' is!
Look at it this way. If someone says that a person has been 'sent to Coventry' you would most likely ask if they went by train or car, and who paid the fare!
Before you embark on a quest for meaningful answers, perhaps you should first fully understand the question!

Salvation is not by works, You cannot do enough Good works to get into Heaven.
Eph. 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, lest any man should boast."
Salvation is through Jesus alone (John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. )
Salvation is being saved from the righteous judgment of God upon the sinner.
A lot of people think that salvation means being saved from yourself or the devil. But that is not accurate. All who have sinned against God are under the judgment of God. This judgment is known as damnation where God condemns to eternal hell all those who have offended Him by breaking His Law.
This does not mean that God is unfair. It shows that God is holy. God must punish the sinner. But, He has provided a way of escape so that people will not face His righteous judgment. This means that God is both holy and loving. He must manifest each quality equally. So, being saved from the wrath of God is called salvation.
Salvation is found in Jesus, and only in Jesus, who is God in flesh (John 1:1,14), and who died for our sins and rose from the dead. 1 Cor. 15:1-4 says...
