The Trailer is a 1999 Camplite by Damon Pop-up. We have everything to Tow this trailer but we don't have any brake control installed in the van. We think that the trailer does have the brakes but we need to make the connection from the van to the trailer to make the brakes work. How do we do this?
Thank you very much.

I would check with a Chry./Dodge dealer and see if they have a wiring harness to attach to you're van. It would make things simpler if they did. Any aftermarket unit will do, but you may have to do some wire splicing. If you aren't sure about doing the job, let a trailer sales company do it for you. It's best to stay on the safe side when it comes to brakes.

Try going to a camper dealer and asking for a break controller unit. Most of the newer cars and trucks have a plug under the dash that you just plug in to. All you have to do is mount it on or under your dash. The instructions will tell you how to adjust the break tensions. Also, if your Caravan doesn't have a tow package you may want to install an after market transmission and radiator cooler. Happy Camping

basically confirm you have the right hitch to in large condition your Grand Caravan. I pull one even greater effective with my '03 Grand Caravan and have not at all had any issues. 3000 lbs is unquestionably interior the GVWR they advise. The broker pronounced the hitch i offered and that they put in it. It does not take very long to get used to towing a trailer yet take it consumer-friendly for the 1st few situations. happy camping out.
