Pay all your household bills on time, get a telephone in your name, open up a bank account put a lot of money in there and then apply for a credit card. Use the card sparingly and never charge up more than you have the money to pay it off in full at any time. Pay more than the minimum payment due each month. Stay in control of your credit and don't get in over your head. If you get an offer from another company you can apply for another card and do a balance transfer usually a 0% Apr for about a year. That will make it easier to pay it off on time. Remember you should have enough money in the bank to pay all you debt off in full should you need to. If you have $500 in the bank then don't charge up more than $500.

You could get added to 2 existing credit accounts on a kind of add a tradeline program and start out with existing A-1 credit. Check out the free evaluation form at www.totaldebtsolutionsllc.com (they do not advertise the service there as it is going away by spring but it can help you in the meantime and pave the way to great credit.)

Anything that can prove you can pay your bills.

Pay your rent on time.

Use your credit cards and pay them back on time.

Pay your phone, electricity, gas etc bills on time.

Easy as that.
