The cockatiel is 8 weeks and it is not hard but hard enough i did not notice it in the morning just afternoon lol i am new to this never had a bird but i think she is fin and it is just her crop.

She eats see when she is hungry and greens when i feed her mrning and night i have had her for a week

Visible to the touch? You have your senses entertwined. Visible to the eye, yes, perhaps if you look closely. You can probably feel it in the throat.

it depends on the age of the bird. Once they get older, the crop doesn't fill up. When they are still young, you should be able to see the crop when it is full, and it should feel mushy, not hard to the touch. It is right below the beak, in the throat. It should also not be full all the time. It must be allowed to empty completely once every 24 hrs and it should be almost completely empty between each feeding to prevent the food from spoiling in the crop.
