Most Mexican immigrants to the US are from very economically depressed regions in the countryside. They generally are not educated beyond the middle-school level. There's simply nothing for them to do at home.
Let's put this into perspective: how bad would things need to be at home before you moved to a completely different country, where you didn't speak the language or understand the culture, to clean other people's toilets for 14 hours a day? That's how bad it is where they're from.

They come here because for many, there is no chance of making a good living or getting an education in Mexico. They could stay and live in poverty or take the chance of crossing into the states and send money home to support their family.
I understand both sides of this problem, but I truly believe the only way anything is ever going to get better is to enforce immigration laws.

Income distribution within Mexico is starkly unequal, leaving almost one-third of the population below the poverty line even by official calculations. Just 35 of Mexico’s richest families take more than the poorest 15 million Mexicans. Other things such as access to education and health care are much better in the US. Even things like access to safe water and public sanitation are third-world like in Mexico.

NO. You will have to obtain a Green Card and go through the normal application process. There are NO exceptions for Canadian citizens.

There are over 200 countries poorer than mexico so if we take in 20 million from each of those countries guess what our country will look like.
Their government encourages them to come here - no matter how dangerous it is.

Jobs, money, opportunity, a better lilfe, an environment where you don't have to pay police bribes and stuff.
I was in Mexico once, at an American University-owned facility. When a tree fell and knocked out our electricity, the university official had to provide a substanstial "gratuity" to entice the electric company to come out and restore our power.
As a conservative, I have no problem with people wanting to come here for a better life. We just need to make sure there is an orderly, legal process that weeds out criminals and protects against the possibility of terrorists mixing in...

This isn't going to be one. There are 2 possible reasons for this.
Reason 1: They want to Take by force what we have. THey want to have Everything we do witthout working for it. They want to take this country & turn it into another Mexico.
or...
Reason 2: They want to leave their old lives behind & begin a new one here. They wish to become Americans & live in peace as we do.
Simple as that.
