I have no choice but to put this to a vote. Please vote for what answer you think best represents the Muslim position regardless of whether you believe it to be true or not. I want to know what the majority of Muslims think here.

Or vote for the answer that you think is most logical in a religious context.

Thanks to everyone for expressing their viewpoint.

The word Muslim means the one who submits to the will of God. It can also mean a follower of Islam.

Yes you are in the broader sense of the word a Muslim. Is it not great that the word is all-embracing, non-discriminatory and inclusive? We should not limit the vocabulary of religious terms because if we do that, we are creating a distinction and thereby divisions.

Don't be confuse. Anyone can be a Muslim by definition as long as he submit himself to God's will.

Unlike the word Christian that became so narrow that even Catholics and Mormons are labelled as non-Christians, the term Muslim still is use in that broader meaning.

A person who submits to the will of God is a Muslim, regardless of their religious dispensation.

Btw folks, Allah and God are the same Being. If people opened their eyes and cracked open a book and actually did some reading, rather than relying upon their own vain imaginings, they'd know this to be true.

while Christ grew to become into explaining to Nicodemus that one ought to be born back to pass to heaven and what it skill to be born back He stated this "The wind bloweth the place it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, yet canst no longer tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is one and all which is born of the Spirit" once you get stored, you realize it happened because of the fact which you have been there. You experienced it. you realize that God is authentic. purely like in case you went exterior and felt the wind. you may no longer see the wind, basically the effects that it has on issues (rustling of the leaves, swaying of the grass, etc.). yet, even nonetheless you may no longer see it, you realize that is there. as a great way because of the fact the features of God, i in my view get them from the Bible. in case you learn the Bible you will locate that there are a number of features of God which you will no longer have time-honored approximately. as an occasion, he's a God of love yet He additionally hates some issues. he's a honest God and a purely God. in spite of the reality that He loves all of us people, in case you die without being stored His justness supersedes His love and there is largely another place to pass in case you may’t pass to heaven.

No! It is not sufficient to be a Muslim.

What do you mean by "as I know how"??

Your faith in Christianity is doubtful untill you submit your will to God (Father) unconditionally! As you know is not sufficient... Go to your pastor!
Come again with some knowledge.

Thank you for showing what a stupid definition of a muslim it is, to say one who submits to god - you might even ask WHICH god. If I submit to the chicken god Kaluk-kuk, am I muslim?

No, realistically a Muslim is a follower of Mohammed. You could hardly be a christian muslim as muslims don't believe Jesus was the son of god.

Not if you beilieve that Jesus was a God because then you would be a polytheist. Islam is very clear and even a true objective reader of today's many corrupted versions of the bible that God is One and never did any jew ever believe that the awaited messiah will be God or god incarnate or that he will die for our sins.

Jews are the closest to Islam because of their clinging to true strict monotheism and rejecting outside polytheistic influences as the christians did from the romans.

But also a concept in Islam is that if you realized a new Prophets teachings then you are required to follow them. i.e. Jews were required to follow Jesus but didn't therefore earning the anger of God. Same goes now for Christians who don't follow Muhammad.

Muslims and Christians are of two different religions. You might be a believer, but you can't be both a Muslim and a Christian.

no it doesn't make you a Muslim. If you believe in Jesus and the one true God and choice to follow Him then you are a Christian. If you choose to follow the teachings of a false god allah and mohamed then you are a muslim.

No, but it doesn't put you in the position of being damned to hell from an islamic point of view. To be a Muslim you must believe in the 5 pillars of islam.

First of all, to some religions are confusing...I believe that in different religions we belong to there is only one God and we call him different names...As a Christian, He is Jesus..As a Muslim He is known as Allah..As long as what you believe in, and what you do makes you a better human being--makes you love others more, makes life liveable for others--then it doesn't matter what religion you belong to..Christian, Muslim, Jew, Gentile, Buddhist...God loves all of us and He is God of all
