I can't even find a reference to anything you mentioned. Must be fake..As Edwin and Curiosit eluded to, who cares?
Bogen/Manfrotto or Gitzo are really the only viable choices if you've got the money. Slik and Velbon run distant seconds to them.
I differ from Edwins' pan tilt suggestion though. I believe a ball-head is a better all around solution, but only one that costs probably more than the tripod. Arca Swiss is the premier head manufacturer in my opinion
I disagree with Curiosit, because a cheap lens on a sturdy tripod can often outperform a fine lens hand-held. A tripod can improve resolution more than a lens in many instances. A tripod will not make you a better photographer. It will help slow you down and possibly think more. But no equipment will make you a better photographer. It will just not get in the way of a good photographer.

I'm guessing that this is some kind of multi pupose do everything tripod that sell for next to nothing?

One of the most important piece of equipment after your camera and lens is a tripod. A good tripod will help make you a much better photographer. A cheap tripod will ruin a day of shooting.

What you want in a tripod is one that is sturdy and will support you camera and lens with no movement whatsoever.

For a good article on tripods, I recommend: http://www.bythom.com/support.htm

What is the name of the company? Don't waste your money on some discount store tripod.

Just buy a Bogen or Manfrotto or Velbon or Slik or Gitzo. Buy it with a fluid tilt/pan head.
