all of the answers who told you that money did not need to be spent, were right. your mom just wants to know that you care about her. remembering her birthday will mean lots to her. creating your own card with a picture and your own thoughtful words, will be a keepsake forever.

The best gift you could ever give your mother is love & time spent showing your appreciation. If you can, make her breakfast & put a card saying how much you love her next to the food, try to serve it to her in bed. Make your own bed when you get up in the morning. tidy out your room. Dont wait for her to tell you to do a few chores around the house.

Write your mom a poem or letter and thank her for everything she's ever done for you. Include little things like helping you with last minute homework you forgot.. washing clothes you forgot to put in the hamper, taking you to the mall to get a gift for your teacher, teaching you your morals, etc... Mothers go through so much during childbirth that I think it is nice when kids thank their mothers for giving birth to them.

Take a look around the house and pick a project that your mom hasn't been able to do. Maybe the garage needs to be cleaned out, or the flowerbeds weeded. Or you could make her a dinner or breakfast from start to finish and present it to her like she was in a restaurant. Wash her car, inside and out.

Your mom can buy herself anything she wants. What she will remember is something you do.

Make some redeemable coupons from index cards, mom's like coupons. You could write on them: Redeemable for one free vaccuming, or for one free lawn mowing. If you have younger sisters or brothers you could say, one free babysitting. The list is endless. You could make her Queen for the day. Make her breakfast in bed. Clean up the house. Offer to make supper. Give her a back or foot rub. Bake her a cake, but be careful with the stove. Good luck.

.. you know what your mom likes.. plan the day according to that.. go to a place you know she wants to go.. or just stay home and do things together. you can invite some friends over.. (your friends) and she would think you have a little gathering.. and then call her and you all wish her a happy birthday.. she wouldn't see it coming.. get her some flowers and something sweet with a little card you make.. hug her tight and tell her how much you love her.. she'd love it.. moms love being a part of their kids lives. or if you can't invite anyone over.. then put it by her bed.. when she wakes she sees it.. would make her happy.

A handmade card, breakfast in bed and a big hug and kiss.
Tell her in the card how much she means to you and how glad you are she was born(I always tell my mum the world is a better place the day she was born because she was in it).

Don't forget to take the breakfast (with tea or coffee) up to her on a tray with a little flower next to it.

A frame with a photo of you in it...
You can make your own frame with wood, glue, beads and material...
Anything personal is great.
If youre not very creative, try chocolates and bubble-bath...
Oh,and breakfast in bed is a must!!!
