Don't forget everyone, that once a week baths were normal.
My gran didn't have a bathroom nor inside WC. The tin bath came down off the yard wall once a week in summer (not so often in Winter) and filled with water boiled on the range, and there were 7 people living in that house.
You don't have to immerse yourselves in water to keep clean - amazing what you can do with minimal water and a flannel. I'm a boater and we can carry 46 gallons but need to search out a fresh water supply before we reach rock bottom, so every cup full is precious; when we do get a shower it's a together one in a very cramped space.
During the war years, although we had a "modern" house with an upstairs bathroom, there was no way of heating the water (the geyser had long died) and water was heated in a gas boiler in the kitchen and taken up a bucket at a time. Not much incentive to have long lazy baths, there. My Aunts and cousins used to go to the Public Baths once a week.
During the recent floods with water supplies contaminated and the only fresh water available via bowsers - did people bath daily? I don't think so.
In the winters of 1947 and 1963 when the pipes were frozen under the roads, our water was delivered by a water lorry and you collected it again, a couple of buckets to last you a day. During the long drought of 1976, Yorkshire folk had to make do with water lorries.
O.K. so our friend is trying to stir things a bit - it looks as though he succeeded - but honestly, it is possible to keep clean, smell-free and healthy without using copious amounts of water.

I have a shower every day, wash my hair and clean my teeth morning and evening because I like to feel and be clean. Do you really only clean your self and teeth once a week? shame on you, your work colleagues must avoid you like the plague by Friday!

If I only showered and brushed my teeth once a week I'd stink to high heaven! Your not serious are you? If you are I wouldn't like to be stuck in a lift or anywhere within close proximity of you :P

I shower and brush my teeth twice a daily. Only soap dodgers don't clean themselves daily...IwWwWw

ewwwww

Brush and floss every day like a ritual...floss is more important as dentist's say.

Bath on evenings where I am not going out and have a long time for a soak and shower on the evenings I am out...so like EVERY DAY MAN.

Some people tend to shower/bath every other day, which is okay I suppose but like think of the sweat and all the dead skin cells we shed a day. eeek

after reading your three hygiene questions i have come to the conclusion that you are disgusting and need to be institutionalized for the safety of your self. as a side note....they will clean you daily which would be a big change on your part but it would be for the best.

the best day to have a bath is New Year's Day, and I always do that, whether I need to or not. It sets me up for the whole year
