Hey, no age discrimination in the Wedding Section, please!

Yes, people in their forties, fifties, sixties, and even older get married. And yes, they ask their friends and family members (who can be older than bride and groom, or younger, or the same age) to serve as their attendants.

Just because we are old doesn't mean we are dead, LOL. Yes, we can still fall in love and marry. And yes, we can still have friends. And yes . . . when we marry, we still get to have bridesmaids, and groomsmen, and honor attendants. And flower girls and ring bearers too!

It is the relationships that are important, not the age of the people involved.

My mum was a bridesmaid for her friends second marriage at the age of 45. However she does not look her age. Mum was married at the time so she was matron on honour. The other brides maids were the brides daughters aged 17 and 15. It didn't matter that there was an age difference between the maids, the photos turned out great!

I don't see why you have to put an age limit on it. I'll be 49 on my wedding day (first and only marriage). My maid of honor will be 50. Now, I did choose to have only a maid of honor and not a bunch of bridesmaids as I think the fairytale wedding stuff gets a little silly past age 30, but that's me, and I wouldn't judge anyone for having a big wedding as their first wedding, no matter what age. I do think if it's a second or more wedding, then the wedding party should be small, regardless of the bride and groom's ages.

FYI-bridesmaids aren't a requirement.
With that note, brides usually pick people who are close to them to be their bridesmaids. But older women (40, 45, 50) are usually going to have a smaller wedding without a wedding party even if it is their first marriage.

The ability to be a bridesmaid does not expire with age. Your a person not a jug of milk.

Some do, some don't..... sometimes people have their children or nieces and nephews.... sometimes you not even friends with those people... you were 20 years ago.
It doesn't matter- I do think thought the older or second marriage weddings do become simpler and classier.

Sure you could still have bridesmaids, and they can be as old or as young as you want them to be!

actually in selecting bridesmaids, their age must be under the woman who is going to marry. most must be a teenager. a maid of honor could be a bit upper in age compared to the bridesmaid. so as the groomsmaid and the best men. but if the couple are on the average age,(40 up) they must seek also bridesmaid to be who are on their thirtees. but flower girls should retain the normal age so as the ring bearers.
*at any rate, it's the couple to be who are going to choose their bridesmaid, etc and not the people who are only invited to attend the wedding. so it doesn't matter all.
<>how i'd wished i could have it soon also. huh
