There is no way to permanently shrink pores. You can minimize their appearance by keeping your pores clear and reducing oiliness.
Clay masks absorb oils & temporarily tighten pores. Beauty w/o Cruelty's clay mask is a good bargain. Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask is another good one - it has benzoyl peroxide & clay; works best as a mask.
Some home remedies:
Aspirin will promote cell turnover & keep pores clear. Crush 4 - 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Or mix them with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel instead of water. Apply a thin layer to your clean face & let dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off w/ cool water.
Apply a thin layer of plain milk of magnesia, let it dry for 15-20 minutes, rinse off w/ cool water & a clean wash cloth. Plain milk of magnesia will absorb excess oil & temporarily tighten pores.

Cleanse. Stop using that bar of soap and remember to wash your face every night! Proper cleansing keeps your pores clean by removing dirt and oil from the surface of the skin. Use a gentle foaming cleanser if you have normal-to-dry skin and emollient cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
Exfoliate. Approximately every three weeks, new cells surface from the lowest layer of the skin. Sometimes old cells stick around longer than they should. Exfoliation helps the natural process along by giving those cells little extra push. Try exfoliating by using a face scrub, every other day for oilier skin and once a week for sensitive skin.
Tone. If you have normal-to-oily skin, use an alcohol-free toner that has glycolic acid as well as Witch Hazel. This will create the shrunken-pores effect you’re after!
Steam. Everyone’s favorite--a herbal face steam. If using fresh herbs, pour boiling water over herbs (rosemary, sage, or comfrey), let cool for a few seconds, then get ready to enjoy! You can also use a few drops of lavender essential oils. Sit about 18-inches away from the bowl and drape a towel over your head. Not only is this good for your skin, but the soul. Take time to close your eyes, breathe deep and enjoy this soothing treatment. Steam for no more than five to eight minutes. Follow with an exfoliating mask.
Deep Cleaning. Once a week use an exfoliating or clay-based tightening mask.
You can also make your own mask:
4 tbsp. French (green) clay
2 tsp. honey
2 tsp. water
4 drops of lavender essential oil
Apply on the face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and moisturizer. Enjoy!

Large pores are created in two ways. The first is through aggressive squeezing of blackheads and whiteheads, which stretches the pore. The second is heavy sebum production. When the sebaceous gland produces large volumes of sebum, the pore is forced to expand to release the oil and is therefore enlarged.
Home remedies:
1.Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.
2.Bran and Grapefruit is also used to tightens large pores. 3.Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

My pores used to be really bad until I started using the RoC purif ac range - face wash and blemish correcting moisturiser. My beautician recommended them and you wont believe the results until you see them for yourself!! They wont clog and arent greasy, however the moisturiser is a must because the face wash can be a little drying. They can also be expensive, so I buy mine from ebay! Hope this helps:o)

You must go for facial regularly to clear your pores and then use products to maintain them at home. I've one that I found extremely wonderful that truly works on me. Its Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Mimizing serum. Good Luck.
