I haven't done it in a long time, but once I dreamed that I was at a party with a bunch of friends. I was chatting and I realized that I was completely nude. Suddenly feeling extremely embarassed, I jumped out of the room onto the top of the wall and realized a) there should be a ceiling here and b) I can't jump this high. Then I realized (fast, like a sudden revelation) that I was dreaming. Then I tried to fly, and it worked! It was an awesome experience!
I was really disappointed when I lost control of my sleeping state and woke up. :(
I HAVE had nightmares before where I REALLY DIDN'T WANT THEM TO BE REAL and I basically tried really hard to wake up, and once again it worked. But those were just as rare as my lucid dreams.

I can't and it's most annoying. I am an incredibly vivid dreamer- have been all my life. I've tried to control my dreams but it's always beyond me.
In the past I've had spooky dreams of being trapped in a dream. I KNOW it's a dream but I am unable to awake until I accomplish a certain goal (usually finding the right door or floor in a house which is in these recurring dreams). My legs always feel like lead and I "feel" incredibly sleepy, like I can't keep my eyes open (which I've always found to be most curious). Eventually, I accomplish the goal and wake up feeling exhausted and "haunted". I don't believe in ghosts, so it's nothing like that- it's just really hard to explain.
I wish I had your gift!!
(we're still in Spirituality. Is there an area for dreams?)

I often wake from bad dreams, however I enjoy seeing some of them through because once I realize its a bad dream I always change it for the better.

Yes, sometimes. I have had dreams that were scary, and suddenly, in the dream, I realized I was dreaming. And I was able to say to myself, "If I don't want for there to be a monster in this dream, then there won't be one! It's my dream afterall!"
Shortly after realizing I am dreaming, I usually then wake up.

Of course, NOW. not jokeing, its when fly away from the monster and look back and see 'em flyin' after me.I can wake myself. NOW the time I deamed I was KILLED and everything turned BLACK and there was NO sound, ,,Now that was the weirdest feeling, discovering that I was ALIVE. When I shot strait up! and saw that I wasn't dead. No kiddin. not funny either!

Yes, I can. I do it by dreaming that I'm writing something, anything. That works very well.
