Hopefully you are talking about muscle mass. If you want to gain muscle mass then you need to consume lean meats, not a lot of fatty red meat. Eat chicken breast or fish, such as salmon or tuna. These are high in protein and low in fat (the salmon has good fats and Omega 3 fatty acids that are good for you), which is what you need to feed your muscles. Carbs are good, but only as an energy source for you to last through lifting weights. I would recommend whole grain carbs though, such as oatmeal, whole wheat bread and whole grain spaghetti with a tomatoe based sauce not a cheesy one. Other good sources of protein are: egg whites, fat-free milk or 2% milk, fat-free or low-fat cottage cheese, beans which are also high in fiber, and roast beef deli meat.
