Take the Christian right in the US. They voted in Bush twice on the back of a promise to protect the unborn child, not allow stem cell research etc. Yet they allow him to send troops to other lands who cause death and suffering to hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children.

Are they happy that they traded foreign lives for the lives of unborn children? Are they happy that they traded living children's lives for the unborn? Are they happy to play God on earth and force their beliefs on non-christians?

The_Cricket Why do I need to go to Iraq to know the suffering. Why do I need to witness the refugees, the death and destruction.

As for the stupid answer,so we should just have let Saddam kill his own people. Is the way to solve that by going to war and killing more than Saddam ever killed? Great solution that!!!!

Christians were not the only group of people that voted for President Bush. Are you asking why Republicans and Democrats, and other political parties voted for George W. Bush for the reasons you state in your question?

I really do not believe the Christian vote, right, left or middle of the road, was sufficient alone to elect Bush; there had to have been some non-christian,atheists, agnostics, unbelievers and immigrants nationals involved in the mix some where.

Perhaps "they" were the ones that used the "back of a promise to protect the unborn child, not allow stem cell research etc."

As far as sending troops to other lands, and the result of that action was more his own decision than that of Christians, who by the way have no desire to " play with the lives of people". The desire of Christians is to SAVE the lives of all people.

I was not a Christian when I voted for Bush. And I ONLY voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils. I couldn't stand Kerry. I still can't.

And how are you going to spout off about Iraq? Have you been there? This is a real question. Have you?

The weekend before this last one, my husband and I went to a party. At this party, there were several soldiers who had gone to Iraq. Sooo, I did what I always do when I meet soldiers who have gone down range, and I asked them questions about it. And, they opened up. All of them that I talked to are very much for the war, wish the American people would shut up about it and let them do their job, and not only do THEY believe in the Iraqi people, they said the Iraqi people believed in THEM. From what they said, it didn't sound like the Iraqi people were suffering at the hands of our soldiers at all. And in all truth, that's what nearly EVERY soldier has told me.

And by the way, I have no problem with stem cell research. I am against EMBRYONIC stem cell research. As far as abortion goes...I'm not going there.

Again, it wasn't just Christians who voted for Bush. I was not a Christian. Do I regret voting for him? Not really, considering who the alternative was. Kerry would have been even worse.

Do you hold similar views about all those who died in WW II to fight against the Nazi war machine? The combines axis forces (Christians included) went to war and caused both, death and destruction, resulting in suffering for thousands of civilians in Europe. "Freedom" has its price and today, is no exception. And ... are you not "playing God" by casting "judgment" upon "Christians" ??? Who else would care if Christians did not ?

Looking at Bushes approval ratings, not too many people are happy now. I hope they will be wiser in the next election.

Christianity has been the biggest cause of inocent deaths by violence since its conception. No other regime not even Hitler can make that boast. So by their own biblical judgement they are bound for the hell they invented.

the u.s. is a democracy. Pres. Bush didn't stage a coup to get there, did he? duly elected and all that.

cry me a river. build a bridge. and get over it.

if you are an american citizen, then YOU "allow him to send troops to other lands who cause death and suffering to hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children."

get up off your seat cushions and fix it...sounds like the Christians sure did....

You are right. We should have allowed Saddam Husein kill hundreds of thousands of Kuwaiti's and Saudis, take over all the oil there, and become Hitler in the Middle East.

You are so right.

Sure a lot of them are. The death of the Brown Infidel wont bother a lot of them. They are raised on and believe in a Book that is full of Murder. The history of their Religion is one of Murder. Hypocrisy runs a muck. Unfortunately for us here in America the Majority is Christian. So when they agree on something like Bush no matter what we do (short of Revolution)nothing can stop them.
