also what exactly will hair wax do? and when can i get the best quality?

Hair wax give hair texture - it creates shattered layers & defines spikes.
I don't recommend it for trying to control cowlicks because it isn't strong enough to re-shape hair & hold it. Hair wax also tends to have some oiliness & you don't want that close to your hair line.

Got some great stuff from walmart super center's salon, it's called hair glue made by Ice. It comes in a blue tube. It will stay all day and is water proof, if you mess it up just fix it back and it will stay.
