I don't believe he did... I think God called it rain and the rain that covered the earth a "deluge" which would be a far cry from moisture covering the ground (like dew).
Now I really wish my PC wasn't broken lol (my watchtower library is on it that has the Bible and study aids on it :))
But genesis 2:5 speaks about creation and about how God hadn't yet made it rain... and Genesis 7:4 first speaks about the rain that caused the flood.
I loved when I learned that point. How very different the world was back then that it didn't even rain and that there was never the rainbow until after the flood.

No. That's why people must have thought Noah was crazy, because it had never rained before. Before the flood, the earth was watered by other means. Gen. 2:5, 6 says: "Now there was as yet no bush of the field found in the earth and no vegetation of the field was as yet sprouting, because Jehovah God had not made it rain upon the earth and there was no man to cultivate the ground. But a mist would go up from the earth and it watered the entire surface of the ground." Only misguided people cast off the story of Noah as being fantasy. Jesus didn't feel that way. At Matt. 24:37-39, he said: "For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be." BTW, the ark was NOT a boat. It was a large chest that was designed to preserve those inside of it. It had no hull or rudder to guide it through the water.

Noah didn't write Genesis, Moses did.
At Genesis 7:4, God said to Noah: "For in just seven days more I am making it rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights." It was God who called it 'rain'.

Noah did not call the rain, but Allah the only one God gave the rain from the sky and also made the coming water up from the ground..God wanted to kill the infidels unloyal followers of Noah included his son and his wife..The loyal followers who believed in God saved by God because they went up to the boat of Noah.

Because God called it rain.
Genesis 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
