the all-time best solution to irritation and/or ingrown hairs after shaving or waxing is a product called "Tend Skin." It's awesome...just apply it right after shaving or waxing, then twice a day afterward. It keeps your skin smooth and looking great! I would strongly recommend that you get some and apply it asap it will really help!

Avoid shaving for a couple of days. Apply a warm compress against your face once or twice a day. You can sooth your skin w/ aloe vera or witch hazel in the morning. In the evening, use the aspirin treatment where needed.

"Aspirin is a very effective anti-inflammatory agent for irritated skin and is able to alleviate the redness and razor bumps/burn. Take one or two aspirin tablets, dissolve it in about two tablespoons of water and then apply that to the face with a cotton pad." http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/art.asp?ID=152

Try putting coco butter on. (It will make the hair softer)

Sit in a warm bath with bakeing soda for about 10 mins to make the hair softer.

Put Aloe gel on the bumps.

You can also "pop" the bumps to get the hair out.
