it is often said that this or that belief requires more faith... how can faith be measured?

Scientifically? No way.

You can’t put faith under a microscope or a scale simply because it is intangible. How much faith do you have that your spouse will be faithful to you? Can you measure it? It is the same thing with faith in God.

I can only answer regarding my own experience. But the amount of faith I have is measured on how close my walk with Jesus is. And lately, it's exceptionally close.

I talk to Him about everything I do. He is essentially in the "driver's seat" of my life. He has shown that He can provide ALL my needs and He does it with such generosity that I am in a nearly constant state of amazement!

Recently, I wanted to buy a car, but couldn't really afford a new car, though I would have liked a new one. So I talked with Jesus about it, telling Him the type of car I'd like, etc. Two days later, the car was offered to me, OUT OF THE BLUE, and EXACTLY the car I had hoped to buy, only several thousand dollars less than what I had expected to pay. (He knows my financial situation) And the car only had 1,700 miles on it, too! It still had that new car smell! However, I forgot to tell Jesus the color I wanted and the color He chose was not the color I would have preferred, which showed me He had a WONDERFUL sense of humor! Next time I'll remember to mentioned the color I want! ;-)

The bottom line is that when we trust Him, it allows Him to take care of us. He is our Father!

He is SO good to us!!

God bless you!

You can't measure it quantitatively like a weight or a length but may be qualitatively, and that too, by comparison and not as a stand alone entity. May be,some day we shall have a scale for it and then all those self proclaimed believers can be tested and most of them exposed.I shall wait for the day and let you know .

Simple ..... weight your faith against a mustard seed. If your faith is heavier then you are faithful, else you have no faith at all.

Move a small hill from point A to point B by praying. If your faith is at least as much as a mustard seed, you can move it.

(I did not say that ..... Jesus did)

Simple. When you pray for something and it doesn't happen, you didn't have enough faith. Better luck next time!

Faith can be measured in minutes.

Here, hold this brick for me, will you? I'll be right back.
