Yes, I believe faith does make one a better person if they are spiritually fit. As we age, our insights into our beliefs change over time. This probably explains why you said ". . . . but in my past I felt it was not, and I always wondered why ." I am a senior citizen and I realize now that "my" God has always been there for me, but I have not always been there for him!
Hope this helps!

I used to get drunk all the time in fact people thought I was going to kill myself drinking. I got up to 1 1/2 quarts of vodka a day while smoking a pack and a half of cigarettes. I don't remember 5% of the girlfriends I had. Did this untill I was about 48 years old, then something hit me. Don't know what it was but I snaped and only wanted to live. I became a Jehovah Witness and quit all the bad stuff and now I just tell everyone else about what is in store for the people that obey our creator. It has a great pay off, ever lasting live in paradise right here on earth just the way it was created for us in the begining.
I would say my faith made me a lot better! But I still have a long way to go untill I'm perfect! (I have 1000 years).

of course. Faith does make you a better person for faith is recognizing or realizing what you have done in the past and in the present. And when you have faith, you'll know or you'll determine what is wrong or right because you are guided by the Holy Spirit.

No. Faith in myths don't really assist many people, unless those people has such a poor moral compass that they need a basic rule book to tell them not to kill others etc (confusing when their rule books says you can justify it though).
Personally it is my ethics and compassion towards humanity, the ability to imagine myself in the situation of others that allows me to be the best person I can be. Faith is simply belief in something that defies logic and experience, so I don't think this is the key to being a better person.

When I was younger, I was wicked, Read Luke 15, that's me IRL. Now, I am a new creation and headed in the right direction. My faith has saved me so much trouble that without it, I don't know what I would do.

Its not making them a better person because they are still holding on to the worldly things..do you feel as if you have changed when you noticed you were becoming a better person? I am a good person because of my faith but i still question God on why i go through what I go through and its because I wont let go of the worldly things..Thank God for his love and Mercy..

I think I understand what you are saying, however, this is what I believe- my faith is not what makes me a more loving person, or better person- it is Jesus who transforms me and as He does then my faith is lived out.

Ask an Islamist.
I hope you get my point. Just because someone has faith, does not make them a better person. They kill and die for their faith.

Yes I think it has made me a better person then I was before.
But to make it clear for some non believers who will choose to take it wrong. It made me, personaly, a better person, but not better then every body else.

My faith and my willingness to draw close to my creator and to continually seek my higher powers will for me, that is what makes me a better person.....one day at a time.
