I know there are probably many women who would wish for my bust size, but lately it's more of a nuisance and embarassment than anything. Losing weight actually does NOT lessen the amount of fat in them either! I've been able to get my waist down to 27 inches, 128 pounds and they were still huge.

They are 36Ds and do get in the way. It seems clothes are made for women who have svelte size 2 bodies with B cup breasts, and I have to wear clothes that are extra large even though they come down to my knees, just so my chest can fit into them. I can't even get professional work button up blouses because they never fit. Also, its annoying to have guys and other people stare or keep looking-- especially when you're trying to give a speech in lecture :\

I even have bra strap indentations, no matter how many times I get fitted. What should I do? I'm considering reduction surgery in the future because it's becoming annoying and even a burden, pardon the pun. They really aren't that great.

I do want to breastfeed in the future when I have kids, so that's why I always go back and forth with this issue. Also, my fiance isn't too uppity with me getting a reduction either because he doesn't think that my chest is big enough to cause significant health issues. And when I had showed a doctor the bra indents in my shoulders, she said that I needed to get higher quality bras with wider straps because she also has a big bust.

I had a breast reduction when I was 16. I was already a DDD and wasnt done growing obviously. They took me down to an A. Now 13 years later and 2 kids later I am back to a D. I can't imagine how big I would be if I hadn't had it done. My doctor said I had to have it done or I would have major back problems since I already had spina bifida. I can tell you I will never regret having the reduction. I was only in the hospital a couple of days. And two weeks later I was at percussion camp (yes I was a band geek lol) playing the cymbals which made my band director very nervous because he knew I had had the surgery lol. If you do have it done just remember to talk to the surgeon about the way he will be doing it, especially if you haven't had kids yet and want to breast feed because they reduced me down so far they had to end up cutting all those glands and so I wasnt able to breast feed my children. And also remember to rub the Vitamin E oil (i think that's what it was) on it regularly to help reduce the scars. I was young and stupid and didn't think it would make a difference. The scars aren't bad but I know with as not noticible they are now that if I had used it they wouldnt even show now at all. Good luck hun...it's not bad at all. And you will never regret it. You'll love it.

You can get it covered by insurance, mine was covered 100%.

I have a ton of information if you want to send me your email address.

And check out this site: http://www.breasthealthonline.com

Saw your added details. As for the fiance, ignore him. It is YOUR HEALTH that is at risk. If YOU want to get it done, you get it done. Just because HE feels you are "not that big", does not mean you are not that big.

You can also breastfeed after a reduction! Many women have, just make sure when you talk to the PS at the consultation that you are adamant on NOT getting a Free Nipple Graft, which can affect breastfeeding.

As for the doctor, just because she has a big bust does not mean squat. Do you really want wide straps especially when wearing certain shirts? Even the best supportive bra did not help me with my back pain and indents, no matter how wide the straps were. Talk to another doctor.

Okay, I had reduction surgery after my first baby. She was 9 months old, and I was up to a 48EE. Yes really!! Sucked!! I gave birth to my second baby 2 years later and was able to nurse him no problem! I had another baby 6 years later, still nursed, and one more 17months later...and yepper..still able to nurse. My surgery was 18 years ago, and now they have so, so, so many advancements, that I don't think you will have a problem, but ask your doctor for sure. Good Luck

I have a couple different friends who have gotten breast reduction and none of them regret it. They are all very happy with the outcome and none of them had any post-op problems. Go to a plastic surgeon and get a consultation. You may even be able to get your health insurance to cover the surgery if your doctor says they are hurting your health (like causing back, neck or shoulder problems.)

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Mine are 36DDD. :( I've gotten fairly used to them, but yeah, they're a bit of an annoyance. I can't really give you any advice though. I know some women are much happier after breast reduction, but I dunno. I'd be too scared. It's up to you (and what you can afford/what your insurance covers).
