Since that makes sense and all.

I wouldn't say I shun organized religion per se... but I am extremely picky about choosing a church. My last pastor slew some horrible false accusations in my direction (told my ex that I was cheating on him--which I wasn't). I never trusted that man again, and it is consequently difficult for me to put the fate of my spiritual development in someone I do not know and trust. There are a few ministries out there that I trust, and I watch their services via the Internet... but I haven't found a church in my area that I am comfortable with.

the Christ paradigm is not all bad but shunning formal religion is not much different than shunning the fabled messenger and keeping the message that dates back thousands of years before Christ's recantation anyway . the imagery is still good when thought of as a humanized myth like Jupiter or Zeus ; just don't need to carry it into delusive fanaticism. but I still would not make the mistake of calling myself a Christian for it's taking the message for what it's worth not for the messenger to idolize.
peace make it a natural reality be kind.

Religion is confusion.....
There is a scripture which speaks of them who may not know the laws of God.... but His laws are written on their hearts and are a law unto themselves: Romans 2:14......
God is a spirit.... Not found in many of the so-called faiths of today......
The kingdom of God is within you (luke 17:21)...... and if the prophecies of the Lord will be revealed via dreams and vision, then let it be known.... that God is not done with the last book of Scripture......
We are the last pages of His story....... (Rev 20:12)

"Organized religion" - I take it, that you mean, man-made religion ? If so - yes ! Christianity is not man-manufactured but is a spiritual relationship with God the Father, through Jesus Christ, based in unconditional love called grace.
When one attends a "church", it is a group of like-minded believers - all sharing the common faith supplied by God. God places us into the "body" of Jesus Christ [called a "church"] as it "pleases Him". By their spiritual " fruits", you will know them !

While I would not say that I "shun" it entirely, there are certainly things that go against the grain. I do not like politics, exhuberantly plush houses of worship and other things........I do believe there is value in the unity of believers. I also think we should strengthen and edify one another. Our focus should be on worship and not "keeping up with the joneses".

I know some like that. Mostly they were brought up Christian, but no longer go to church. Basically they've lapsed in most ways, but find the deep-seated god/Jesus belief hard to shake.

Religions are man-made, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
This means I hear nor listen to no other teachings other then those of Jesus Christ, and I do as He commands.

There are a few out there, but then again.. You probably still subscribe to a book that was put together by organized religion so in all honesty, you are still practicing it.

If you mean they believe in Christ as lord and savior but do live there lives by their own means and not what the church tells them, than yes. Even though it is oxymoron.
