A question of proper manners: Is it more polite to kneel down when talking to little people, or bend over slightly, or just tilt your head...? I want to accommodate without seeming condescending. Has anyone here ever encountered this social dilemma?

According to the Lifetime Channel's Little Women: LA, it is extremely rude to kneel down when talking to a little person. That is, an adult with dwarfism or another condition that makes them short. You should not stoop down either, but simply look at them and greet them as you would anyone else.

When talking to children, it is absolutely okay to kneel, and I find that they like it when you do.

No need to kneel or bend over. "Stoop down may help. You are better to get their "attention" of you are looking them at
"eye level." I am talking about children. Adults of a small
height, may be a different matter. <}:-})

Just simple to make eye contact and talk to them. I think to kneel down would be unnecessary. Just talk to them like you would anyone else. That is what they want, to be treated like normal people, which they are.

LOL...I doubt they would really care, but if I were you know I would not kneel down, just lean like you would talking to a kid or something

Oh please don't bend down! You might as well pat them on the head at the same time!
Just look them in the eye and say hello like you would anyone else.
