I've been out of the dating scene after a 3 year relationship. Finally ready to date again... I've been seeing this guy and we seem to really click. We aren't having sex or doing anything sexually - he's really respectable. But how many dates til I should expect him to ask me out officially? I'd really like him to be my boyfriend. Is there anything I should say so I know what he wants? He's a very shy guy. Thanks!

The key here is that he's a "Very Shy Guy".
I think you're going to have to take the bull by the horns. Just out and out tell him that you want him for your boyfriend and what does he think about that.
I'll bet alot that he agrees with you. Get some gumption up and get aggressive at this point. He'll thank you for it later.
I know he'll go for it but if he doesn't, wouldn't it be better to find out that out early?.........He's going to agree!!! Go for it and be the leader at this point.
He WANTS you to do this. Shyness and fear of failure is holding him back.
TELL HIM--You are my boyfriend! End of subject. The poor guy is going nuts, help him out.

honey, if your enjoying this without going out thats a good thing. sometimes that is the best part the (pre-dating) just enjoy what you have and if you really cant handle not going out with him maybe hes not for you
