For the past 5 months I have been getting pimples on the bottom of my chin which cause my lymph nodes to swell. Its the only place Ive gotten a pimple. I went to the doctors like 3 months ago and they said its nothing to worry about but I was wondering if any one has had or heard something similar to what I have and what i should do?

First of all, most people jump to mono when they think of swollen lymph nodes. You stated you've had this problem for 5 months. I think you could safely rule out mono due to the amount of time you've had this condition. You haven't said anything about fatigue, sore throat, or any other ''classic" symptoms of mono. If it's been three months since your last doctor's appointment. I strongly encourage you to make another appointment and explain that there's been no resolution. It is likely to be something very benign but considering the time factor, see your doctor again. Best of luck to you. I hope everything turns out fine.

I do not think it is Mononucleosis - Read about this disease below--
Mononucleosis (mono), or glandular fever, is often called the kissing disease. The label is only partly true. The virus that causes this disease is transmitted through saliva, so kissing can spread the virus, but so can coughing, sneezing, or sharing a glass or food utensil. Mononucleosis isn't as contagious as some other infections, such as the common cold.

The cause of mononucleosis is the Epstein-Barr virus, although similar signs and symptoms are sometimes caused by cytomegalovirus (CMV). Full-blown mononucleosis is most common in adolescents and young adults.

Signs and symptoms of mononucleosis may include:

* Fatigue
* Weakness
* Sore throat, perhaps a strep throat that doesn't get better with antibiotics
* Fever
* Swollen lymph nodes in your neck and armpits
* Swollen tonsils
* Headache
* Skin rash
* Loss of appetite
* Soft, swollen spleen
* Night sweats

So, I suggest you to go to your physician once again and have compleate check up to evaluate and treat you. -

Heyy!! do no longer complication in any respect. you purely have an epidemic. i'm getting with the aid of one good now. whenever you get a sore throat you may get swollen glands. (lymph nodes) have not you ever had those until now? Its purely an indication of a cold/virus. I somewhat have virtually the comparable ingredient basically it hurts once I swallow. optimal my temp has long gone is purely a hundred and one. i've got had it for 3 days and that i'm feeling notably plenty greater appropriate now. waiting to pass out with the aid of the next day. purely get countless relax drink fluids and you need to be nice. Dont complication approximately maximum cancers in any respect. exceedingly no longer likely. nonetheless you need to pass to the well-being practitioner and have them examine if that's the flu or strep throat. I went and that i've got neither, basically an epidemic. So loosen up and you will ultimately get greater appropriate. =)

this sounds more like mono, lymophomas usually cause night sweats and your skin itches.

get a blood test for mono (so you can get some closure) and drink plenty on noni and acai berry juice. (health food stores)
