No, it is not easy to obtain another sports scholarship in a different sport. Most of them have trained for years and are at the top of their sport to get a scholarship. I know one girl who plays volleyball who is being scouted by the college teams, and when she was in the eighth grade, the high school coaches were scouting her to find her strengths and weaknesses. She trained for years including specialty sports camps. It is very competitive to get a sports scholarship to begin with because each athletic team has a certain amount given to them each year for athletic scholarships. Your mom has the right heart because she does not want to see her son in debt with student loans. Besides, they would want your figures on your performance in the sport because they give athletic scholarships to the top athletes. I will include some free resources to locate tuition money.

First, the FAFSA will possibly bring the Pell Grant, need based scholarships from the college's endowment fund, work study, and student loans. It is based on your household size along with a percentage of your income, your savings, your parents' income, and parents' savings. It needs to be completed each year until you graduate from college. The best time to complete it is January or early February.

Second, your high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships and state grants. Your best chance outside athletic scholarships is at the local level.

Third, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, join several free scholarship search websites. They offer a customized search based on the information you enter into a form. There is a scholarship for almost anything out there including wearing duct tape to the prom.

Good luck!

First off you shouldn't do something if u dont feel passionate about it. Secondly, there is no "easy" sport to get a scholarship in. You have to find a sport u truly love in order to do well at it. Even then, athletic scholarships are difficult to obtain. Many good athletes dont end up getting the scholarship they want. Track for instance, u basically have to at least go to State Championships to get considered for one, which means only a handful of athletes out of millions that are in track get it. The safest way to get a scholarship is through good, honest work in academics and applying for them thorugh fastweb.com or something.

1st - what school do you want to go to? What scholarships do they offer? Some schools give lotsa $ for some sports but not others...my niece got a great track one at Penn State...my son's at Drexel but no luck for him - he's a swimmer but they have no pool.
What is your good sport? Find a school looking for good players in that sport...field hockey?, soccer? What are you good at?
The thing with track is that there is probably an event you can excel in - you just have to find it. And practice alot. Good luck!

None. If scholarships are easy to obtain, then a bunch of people can go to college for free. If you really want to go to college and to get financial help, you should:

1. Apply for financial aid in January during your senior year
2. Apply for academic scholarships that you qualify for
