Should I also count or worry about my intake of fat and carbs, or just strictly count calories?
For example, if I'm low on time i'll have a microwave lean meal, sure it only has 200 calories, but it also has 30g carbs, is that too much?

40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats total for the day. say your BMR requires 1400 cals then your totals for the day wold be close to:

1400 x .40 = 560 then 560 / 4 = 140 grams protein
1400 x .40 = 560 then 560 /4 = 140 grams carbs
1400 x .20 = 280 then 280/9 = 31 grams fat

You need to worry about your carbs and fat over your calories. Calories are just energy. If you cut back your carbs and fat then you'll lose weight. Just keep your take in of carbs and fat as small as you can handle it. Pair that with a little bit of cardio and you will lose weight.

Well I've been counting calories since August 8th. Approx 1.200 per day and it hasn't mattered one bit if it was fat, carb, protein etc.... I've been losing weight like crazy! 2lbs a week and still going. If you bite it, write it!

Eating less fat may be healthier but it's hard to do whether youre dieting or not.

Actually - it is the sugars you will have to be extra involved with. The sugars are one of the most three evils - along side salt and white flour. My mom did this tremendous fats gram counting factor, and fairly it did not support her in any respect. Just be shrewd in what you devour and devour small healthful quantities each and every two hours. It will support you greater than counting fats grams. Drink plenty of water additionally and of path - activity. Good success!!!!
