This affects me a lot. They tell you that that money belongs to Christ. Also I read that in the early church, they took up collestions to help the poor, like those living in Jerusalem Also Paul worked! not begged. But it's between them and Christ, ain't it.

Well some preachers do, lots might not. If po' folk want him rich fine! NOW You said God requiered tithes, Yes But under the LAW. you cannot find in the N.T. church, beginning in Acts 2, where God commanded a tithe, also you gon' hear th' preacher quote O.T. only. Search for yourself I have already. So since God never demanded a tithe of the N.T. church why on earth could He tell 'em wut t' do with the tithe money?

Are we MISSING something here???????

Are we MISSING the FACT that, traditionally, it is the PARENTS of the bride who PAY FOR THE WEDDING, and NOT the bride???????????????????????????

America is destroying Christianity by watering it down into so many sects. They are so gullible rather than religious that con artists find it incredibly easy to part them from their money!!!!

The anti Christ is alive and thriving in the good old US of A!!!!

I agree, that's an awful lot to pay for a wedding but--Did they say who paid for the wedding? If she paid for all of it, her congregation is very large and very rich. I know of no minister that makes that kind of money. BTW--1. Did they say how much (or how little) her income is? 2. Whatever the case, this effects you how?? What difference does it make to you?

More than unseemly, if it is true.

Excessive, sinful, wrong and misrepresentative of the Christian faith are just some of the descriptions that come to mind.

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THAT MINSTER HAVE TO BE POOR. MAYBE A MILLION DOLLARS IS TO MUCH, BUT TO MANY PEOPLE THINK THAT PREACHERS SHOULDN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE OR FANCY. AND YES PAUL WORKED, BUT IF YOU READ ON HE WAS SCOLDING THE CHURCHES BECAUSE THE WERE NOT SUPPORTING HIM LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
