Man was created in God's image to have fellowship with Him. God told man, you have free range of this beautiful garden and all that lives here, except the fruit of one tree. Do not eat the fruit of that one tree.

So what did man do? With all the abundance of the Garden, he had to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree. At that point, sin began, and fellowship with God was lost, in the way God intended. Now man had to prove his love for God, through worship and sacrifice.

Now mans mission in life is different . Over the thousands of years that have transpired other men have been born into sin, who have to be reached by someone. Calvinism says that some are predestined to To have fellowship with God, and others are not. To believe this is to deny the great commission." Go Ye Therefore into all the world , preaching the Gospel of Peace."

How does God love us more than our parents.? He gave His only Son to die on a cruel cross, for our sin. We are created to glorify Him, but not that alone. We are to tell everyone about His Son, and His life and what He can do for the world.

He created our parents, too- and their parents, etc,.etc. He gave us life. We glorify God by loving His other children (fellow human beings). That is the sum of it- God is love.
