Why not group them by belief system type?

For example, the Abrahamic faiths are all based on the same book, the same God, etc. They could go into one room together.

The polytheistic faiths could all go together into a second room. This would include ancient religions that are widely considered myths today as well as religions of some indigenous populations.

The non-god religions could all go together, too, like Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and other contemplative or reincarnation faiths.

Good luck with your project!

Most are founded at the information that almost all of humanity will simplest comply with that which advantages themselves, for this reason the incorporation of a present and punishment process. The truly debate is whether or not they had been created on well intentions, or whether or not they're simply political gear with none esoteric message. I in my opinion consider a few are bigger than others, however I realise that my interpretations might be utterly extraordinary from that of an additional.

I would classify them by views about the existence of deities

* Theism — The belief that gods or deities exist and interact with the universe. [2]
* Atheism — An absence of belief in a single god, all gods, or a belief that gods do not exist at all. [3]
* Deism — The belief that a god or gods exists, but does not interact with the universe. [4]
* Agnosticism — The belief that there is no way to know about gods or deities. [5]
* polytheism — The belief in and, iff, worship of multiple gods or deities. [6]
* monotheism — The belief in and, iff, worship of a single god. [7]
* pantheism — The belief that God and the universe are equivalent[8], or belief that acknowledges other gods. [9]
* panentheism — The belief that the universe is part of God
* dystheism or maltheism — the belief that God is not, as is often assumed, good, but is actually evil
* Animism: The belief that everything has a soul. [10]
* Monolatry: The belief that there may be more than one deity, but only one should be worshipped.
* Henotheism: The belief that there may be more than one deity, but one is supreme.
* Kathenotheism: The belief that there is more than one deity, but only one deity at a time should be worshipped. Each is supreme in turn.

As I don't know anything about the rooms or exhibits I haven't the slightest clue. Can you give some detail about the religions. What is on display etc.
Off the top of my head.
Dates they came into existance
Look for similarities in the religions how they expressed their belief, which is the most prominent, look at any controversy surrounding the religions,

It does depend on what you're displaying, but I'd broadly suggest organizing by charateristics of the religions. Put the major monotheistic ones together, put the polytheistic/animism ones together, and put the others in the third.

Will that work for the ones you're using?

Should be based on similarity of belief or if some religions were offshoots of another.

I would break them up into religions that believe in one god, religions that believe in multiple gods(like Hindu), and religions without a god center(like Buddhism).
