Couldn't say. When I was in the Navy, the BAM's seemed to be more interested in the sailors. When my wife and I met, we were civilians, but I was ex-Navy and she was Ex-Marines.
There IS a respect between Marines, regardless of gender, so it's possible that for most Marines, marrying another Marine is kind of like marrying family or one of the guys. For that reason, I dispute your statement that female Marines usually marry other Marines. It may be the case occasionally, but not 'usually'.
(Yes, I do make sure not to use the term BAM around my wife.)

Your question doesn't make any sense. If female marines usally marry male marines, then male marines usually marry female marines. Right?

It's pretty obvious why male marines marry civilians - thier aren't enough female marries to marry all the male marines.

A male Marine is the only guy who can put up with a woman with a military mind and a civilian woman is a distraction from his Marine Corp life.
Though that's not the case with my brother. He met his wife in the Corp and asked her out. Not the other way around. I guess he just likes beefy women with a military attitude.

i would have to see stats. my cousin was a Marine and a lesbian,she didn't marry anyone. beyond that i have only known of Marines marrying or being married to civilians
