Are you aware that you cannot "move" to Australia, then find a job. You will not be allowed to work and reside in Australia without a work visa, and you cannot get a work visa unless you first line up an employer. Getting a work visa to Australia is very difficult. You must have a skill that is very much in need ther, and even then , the visa frequently takes 3 or 4 years. See website below for work visa and immigration info for Australia. It can be done, but is difficult and time-consuming.

There is no such thing as a "mix" between Cairns and Perth. They are 5000 or more kilometres apart at opposite corners of a continent with completely different climates. One is a large State capital city, the other is a small regional town. One has many and varied industries, the other relies on tourism. The two cities are as far apart and completely different as it is possible to be in Australia.
The cost of living in Perth is high and increasing. If you want work in the building trades with good beaches and forests you can't go past the NSW coast from, say, Nowra northwards and then extending to the sunshine coast north of Brisbane. There is a lot of building going on both north and south of Sydney and Brisbane and around many of the provincial towns along the coast.
If you want lower costs of living, Adelaide, Hobart and Brisbane are the cheapest of the State capitals and all three are delightful cities in which to live.

The Sunshine Coast would be an excellent choice. It has miles of gorgeous beaches, and a little further inland you will find some beautiful rainforest and bushland. Unlike the Gold Coast, it's not invaded by tourists on a large scale (unless of course you go to Noosa!)
This website will give you a general idea of construction work available in the area:

I'm not sure about the cost of living in that region. You'd have to ask someone else about that.
Caloundra, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, etc are just some of the gorgeous places you can set up roots.

Edit:
Make sure you have your visa sorted out first, if you haven't already. Moving to Australia is not an easy process.

Not sure about work prospects in Noosa? - worth looking into though -
perhaps try a little further south - closer to Sydney. Newcastle perhaps (just north of Sydney) or Woolongong just south of Sydney. Both of these satellite towns would have nearby small coastal towns with great beaches and National/state forests nearby. They are close to industry too

Assuming you have your visa organised (including a work permit), how about Central Queensland (just above Sunshine Coast). This area is not very expensive to live in and allows for plenty development and thus job opportunities.
All the best ...

!!! TASMANIA !!!
Tasmania is good for forests and building and construction work. The houses and land is dirt cheap cause most of tasmania is empty. so theres tons of land. you could buy a block of land for $30.000 or cheaper if you came to the south where i am. (the Huon valley). and also there are a few good beaches like SNUG BEACH, 7 MILE BEACH etc.

It would appear somewhere between Cairns and the Sunshine Coast (Noosa) might be where you are looking for
