my condition is not serious my doctor says it is just somthing that "women" get normal. but i would agree that the recuiter is just stringing me along, and i have been to the naval hospital and a few weeks ago my recuiter told me he saw no reason for it to be dissaproved but all the sudden i cant get ahold of him and when i go in he still says, oh we dont know anything and i talked to an army recuiter who said it was an automatic disapproval but i think the branchs are diffrent. so i dont know what to do you know.

Here is some info for you to read up on, but basically all waivers go to the Naval Bureaus of Medicine to be evaluated and a recommendation is forwarded back to the recruiting station for final decision.

Your recruiter cannot make a decision until he receives the recommendation.

My husband is a Marine Corps recruiter. He totally understands what you are talking about with this.
He said that the recruiter is probably still waiting for the waiver. It can take some time. My husband has had some things take longer than they could.
But also, he said they might have disqualified you due to the medical condition, but just haven't told you yet.
You won't really know until he says something. Go down there and confront him with it. Or talk to the station commander. He should know more.

It depends on the condition you're talking about. When I went in the Navy I had to get a medical waiver for knee surgery I had a couple years before. They reviewed copies of my medical record, as well as a detailed letter from my dr. stating that I was fully recovered.

At MEPS I went through the physical and then had an interview with one of their dr's, who examined my knee. After that he cleared me and signed my papers.

Good luck (and great decision, too!)

what was the medical condition? if it is something serious, the recruiter just might be stringing you along. find out what is going on and make him call the MEPS and ask while you are standing in front of his desk.

Depending on your condition...you may have t take more tests..my daughter has asthma..and because of that they disqualified her....recruiters only try and get you in and getting info from them can be diffficult....if you want in and your med problem can be handled without docs...ignore it and wait...otherwise you may end up rejected....kudos to you for wanting join the service....good luck.
