God can see what is in your heart, no matter where you are. If you pray to him, he will hear you whether you're in church or in the shower or in bed or in front of the TV. Read your bible and pray, and you'll be fine.

If you're not going to church, then you can't enjoy time together with other believers, and you might not be growing in your faith.
That's what I would worry about if I wasn't attending church.
I hope you'll ask your dad to take you. You can visit a few different churches until you find one that seems like a good fit for your family.
But, um, I don't want to be mean, but tell your mother from me that her family is more important than her degree. She can get a degree from anywhere, but only has one family.

I think it's a good idea to go to church if you can.
Maybe you can start going to church or a Bible study during the evening if that's easier for you to stay awake. The point is to meet with other believers so they can help you grow spiritually and you can do the same for them.
Try to find a church or group that uses the Bible as its primary source. In some churches, the pastor or speakers will give their opinions and then try to support them with what the Bible says. I think it's best if you avoid those types of churches and go to one that uses the Bible as its foundation.
May God bless you.

God doesn't care if you attend church. He cares about what's in your heart. You and your family could have your own little sevices at home anytime. Reading from the Bible and praying together. Or, perhaps there is a church there with a bus that picks up. Ask friends at school if they attend and where. Maybe you can start going with them. But in the end, fellowship is good, but not a requirement. God knows what is in your heart.

You could maybe ask a friend whose family goes to church to take you on Sundays and on Wednesday's bible study. I used to do that in Germany with teenagers, who's parents didn't go.
But first give your Dad the benefit of a doubt and ask him and if he says no, then try to have someone else take you, if you don't go for awhile the devil is going to tempt you and it is going to be very hard to get back on track after awhile.

Find a church and go - look for one with kids your age, and drag Dad along. There can be fun in worship and being a part of a Christian community. Enjoy!

If you're beginning to have such questions about your faith, you should try to get to going back to church! The Scripture says, "Forsake ye not (don't stop going to church) the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some men is."

You look very honest child. Jesus loves because you have some consciousness in you. Yes, you should ask your dad to take you to church.

even when i still considered myself a christian i didn't like going to church. all you do there is hear some other person's interpretation and/or opinion of the matter... so no, you should make your own decisions about what you believe in and how you go about it. if you don't want to go, don't go. it isn't necessary.

It means you have an extra hour of free time each week. And you're probably a bit less susceptible to the effects of social indoctrination. Whether that is a good or bad thing, you be the judge.
