Air Force has the big nukes.
Army has ground forces, and a lot of fire support. MLRS clears entire grid squares, or now with the new rockets can hit a pin point target.
The difference is mission. The Army is built to take and hold ground and to defeat a ground opponent, so our systems are built for that. The Air Force is there to win Air Superiority and support the ground fight, the Navy is for Sea Superiority and to support the ground fight.
In the past, the Army had nukes too, until the SALT treaties took them away.

If air force has bombs and navy has nukes, what does army have? All they have is ground forces plus some fire support right?
Wrong. They have light transport aircraft, armed helicopters, tanks (heavy armour). The Medical Corps of the US Army is next to none in excellence (Though, as A Marine, it pains me to say so)
The US Army instituted and perfected the use of rockets and machine guns on helos as far back as before Vietnam after seeing the French in Algeria fighting Moslem insurgents in the late fifties with machine gun armed choppers. I remember seeing tweets (T-37s) under the control of an Army major back in '67 - '68 when I was an army dependant.
Without the Army signals corps as a template, the National Security Agency would be hanging with their pants around their ankles.
Someone above my entry mentioned Delta and Green beanies (Green Berets), they are Special Ops. The Army even has personnel that work with Missile and Space command.
May I suggest Google or Yahoo Search. Or contact your local Army recruiter, if that is still permitted by your local school system.

All the nukes I slept close to were removed from Army stockpiles in 1994. The demise of the Soviet Union left no role for these weapons.
I have never seen what an Apache can do but have seen what a Cobra can. Calling that "some fire support" is a gross understatement. Add to that precision artillery with a 17 mile range, ADA units, the M1A1 firing accurate while doing 45 mph. This Army is so much more lethal than my day. Add satellite comm and GPS. Holy goose crap Batman, the terrorist are lucky these guys don't go postal!!!

The Air Force has many weapons including most of the US's nuclear arsonal for which the US would utilize for a first strike. The Navy provides a second strike capability, in the event that someone nukes us, we can nuke them back. The Army initially started working with small tactical nuclear weapons launched from large artillery pieces. There are some pretty cool videos of this on YouTube. Besides, the military forces are so integrated that it doesn't really matter.

WAIT A SECOND!!!!!!!!!!
The Navy only have some small nukes boy. Just some that can be put on the Tomahawk cruise missile.
The army had something bigger than just a nuke. They had missile silo which every time ready to drop their nukes on the Arabians ***
The Army also had technology. They had Helicopters, tanks, infantries, and the most important, THE RECRUITING LINE. the army is the owner of reserve troops which I considered as the most important key to defend a country.
Remember, now the Army are researching the laser heatwave gun, and it's already started to be tested. Now, it's rating not anymore X, but it's started to reach Y rating.

Airforce has nukes. Navy has bombs and nukes. I am not sure if some of the silos are under control of the Army, but it wouldn't surprise me. Marines don't have nukes.
